WA: Stolen bus wedged under bridge causes traffic chaos
A 32-year-old Perth man who allegedly stole and then abandoned a double-decker bus
after it became wedged under a railway bridge will face court next week.
Police allege the big red bus was stolen from the La Bog Nightclub in inner-city Northbridge
during the early hours yesterday morning.
The 4.3-metre tall bus was abandoned at about 7am (WST) yesterday after the driver
unsuccessfully tried to pass under a 3.7-metre tall railway overpass in West Perth.
It is also alleged the man, from Warwick in Perth's north, refused a breath test, drove
with no driver's license and caused damage at the Perth Police Station following his arrest.
The 32-year-old will appear in the Perth Court of Petty Sessions on April the 21st.
