NEWCASTLE, Jan 24 AAP - Former NSW Liberal MP Peter Blackmore today faced a Newcastlecourt for a committal hearing on child sex charges.

Blackmore, 58, the Mayor of Maitland, is charged with carnal knowledge of a child under10, carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 10 and 16 and two counts of sexualassault without consent.
