VIC:Bikie gangs 'planning fightback over laws'

MELBOURNE, Aug 29 AAP - Bikie gangs, including Hells Angels, Bandidos and the Comancheros,
have been meeting in secret to plan a fightback against new laws and police raids in Victoria.

The Herald Sun says the coalition of bikie gangs are hoping to recruit law-abiding
clubs such as the God Squad and Vietnam Veterans to lend it legitimacy.

Finks bikie club enforcer Mick MacPherson is touted to become the official spokesman
for the newly created United Motorcycle Council Victoria (UMCV), which will represent
most of the 28 motorcycle clubs across the state.

The newspaper says MacPherson and members from other clubs are meeting fortnightly
and reporting to other bikies around the nation.
